Panthers Heading To Marion Friday

The Lake City Panthers will head to Marion Friday for what is expected to be a four quarter battle.  The Panthers are 4-2 (2-0 Region VI-AAA) and the Swamp Foxes are 5-2 (0-2 Region VI-AAA).  Kickoff is slated for 7:30.

Lake City Sonic Athletes of the Week

Lake City Sonic will be recognizing outstanding student-athletes each week during the 2019-20 school year. This week’s recipients are Shamontae Burgess and Kareem McClam for their roles in the big Region VI-AAA football win against Cheraw.  Shamontae put on a show on both sides of the ball with 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns while also playing shutdown

Panthers Take Homecoming Win

Lake City quarterback Hilshon Bailey passed for 288 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for an additional 78 yards and a touchdown in a 34-20 homecoming win over Cheraw on Friday. Shamontae Burgess racked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Avery Harrison rushed 130 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers (4-2, 2-0)

Homecoming Queen, King Crowned

Senior Damara Brown was crown 2019 Homecoming Queen during halftime festivities of Lake City High’s football game against Cheraw Friday night. Jakayla Morris was named first runner-up and Jazlyn Green was selected second runner-up. Samaria Frye was named Junior Princess, while Jonay Smith was selected as the Sophomore Princess and Shi’Dasia Graham was named Freshman

Cheerleaders Help Head Start

The varsity cheer squad participated in Head Start Awareness week by reading to the children.  Well done ladies!  #LCstrong
