The Lake City Panthers led Manning for most of the game Friday night, but the Monarchs scored in the fourth quarter and held on for a 14-7 win over the Panthers.
The Panthers took a 7-0 into halftime, but the Monarchs pulled to within a point at 7-6 in the third quarter with a touchdown, but missed the point after attempt. Manning took the lead 14-7 in the fourth quarter with a touchdown and a two-point conversion.
The Panthers had an opportunity to possibly tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but a pass from quarterback Rick Tuner to receiver Bill Hanna in the end zone on fourth down fell incomplete.
Trevone Williams led Lake with 107 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Parish Chambers had six catches for 111 yards.
Lake City (2-1) will travel to Kingstree Friday night.
