This week’s edition of Meet Your Panthers features Dasia Montgomery, a 4-year member of the cheerleading squad, and Marco Leon-Chavez, a 4-year participant in football and soccer.

1) What is your favorite sport and athlete?
DM: Basketball is my favorite sport and Lebron James is my favorite athlete.
MLC: I like football the best and Tom Brady is my favorite athlete.
2) What is your favorite class and teacher? Why is this your favorite?
DM: Spanish is my favorite class and Ms. Martinez is my favorite teacher because she is fun and cool to talk with.
MLC: My favorite class and teacher is Ms. Martinez because she is very outgoing and teaches well.
3) Who is the most influential person in your life?
DM:The most influential people in my life are my Mom and Grandma because they push me to be the best I can be and to always go above and beyond.
MLC: The most influential people in my life are my Mom and girlfriend because they mean the world to me and I love them both with all of my heart.
4) What is your favorite meal?
DM: Definitely fried chicken, rice and gravy, blackeyed peas, and collards.
MLC: Wings and rice.
5) What is your favorite athletic event memory?
DM: My favorite athletic memory is making the squad in 9th grade and stepping on the field for the first game.
MLC: My favorite was recovering a forced fumble against Lakewood and scoring over 50 points.
6) What is your plan after graduating?
DM: I plan to attend college and enter the medical field.
MLC: I want to find a job and attend college.
7) What is the best part of LCHS?
DM: The best part of LCHS is seeing my boyfriend, cheering, and hanging out with my friends.
MLC: The best part of LCHS is the education.
8) How do you want Panther fans to remember you?
DM: I want to be remembered as funny, crazy, straight forward, fashionable, and just a cool girl.
MLC: I want to be remembered as a player that never gave up on a play and always gave 100% on and off the field.
