The Lake City Cross Country teams had another outstanding showing at their region meet in Waccamaw Tuesday evening. The boys’ team was led by sophomore Austin McDonald (21:09); he was followed closely by fellow sophomore Damien Lee (21:19).
Junior Davion Graham ran the best race of his season, finishing in a time of 21:57. Seniors Gerard Williams (22:21) and Felix Lazo (22:22) rounded out the Panthers’ stellar effort. Together, these five runners ran the fastest team race in Lake City school history with an average time of 21:49.
The Lady Panthers were led once again by junior Jocelyn Epps (27:02). She was followed by sophomore Jasmine Bradley. Freshman Cametria Morris (37:51) and senior Jasmine Nesmith (37:52) also came across the finish line in a dead sprint with one another.
Both the boys and girls teams will head to Sandhills to compete at the lower state qualifier on October 29th.
