Lake City High School placed seven student-athletes on the Region VI-AAA springs sports All-Region team.

The baseball program paced the selections with three players earning All-Region honors.  Senior Chris Burnett batted .304 with 12 RBI, 3 doubles, and 17 stolen bases while also picking up 5 victories on the mound with 40 strikeouts on the year.  Freshman Hilshon Bailey hit .375 with a team-leading 20 RBI, 6 doubles, and 1 triple while providing exceptional defense as the Panthers’ catcher throwing out 43% of attempted steals.  8th grader Shamontae Burgess burst onto the varsity scene with a team-leading .378 average, 21 runs scored, 34 hits including 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, and 31 stolen bases from the leadoff spot.

The boys and girls soccer programs each placed one player on the team with senior Elantryia Moore and freshman Irvin Fajardo earning the nod.  Moore led the Lady Panthers from her Goalie spot with 180 saves on the season and 86% save percentage.  Meanwhile, Fajardo recorded 10 goals, 6 assists, and 140 steals on the season.

Softball earned one selection with sophomore Kourtney Cox making the team.  Cox hit .444 on the season with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, and also fanned 42 hitters from the mound.

The boys track program had one region champion as sophomore Arkus Sabb won the discus with a throw of 113′ 3″.
