The Lake City Cross Country Team will be adding a familiar face to the coaching staff this summer. Second year teacher Elisabeth Emhof has been selected to join the fourth year program as an assistant coach.
Emhof originally hails from upstate New York and graduated in 2017 with a B.A. in theater from Bob Jones University in Greenville. She teaches English at Lake City Early College High School and is one of the sponsors for the school’s Key Club and Leo Club.
The New York native was very excited to be a part of the growing program. “I am so thrilled to be able to join the team to challenge kids and myself to be better athletes! Summer practices have quickly become one of the highlights of my week.”
Head Coach Josh Jennings was equally excited to bring Emhof on board. “Elisabeth has a huge heart for kids and an appreciation for running that will really be an asset to our program.”
Preseason cross country workouts are every Mon-Wed evening @ 6:30 pm at the LCHS track. Thursday morning practices also occur at the track @ 6:45 am.
