“Meet Your Panthers” is back again this year to showcase standout representatives of the Class of 2020.

The seventh edition of 2019-20 features Morgan McCutcheon and Khalil Fulton.  Morgan is the daughter of Tanya Floyd.  She is a 4-year member of the volleyball squad, has played softball and soccer, and keeps a 3.7 GPA as a Dual-Enrollment College student.   Khalil is the son of Valarie Fulton.  He has participated in football, basketball and track.

1. How would you describe yourself to a stranger?

Morgan: I would describe myself as goofy, optimistic, and hardworking. 

Khalil: I would describe myself as driven and hungry for success.

 

2. What is your favorite part of LCHS athletics?

Morgan: My favorite part of LCHS athletics is that we work hard and we really bond together as a team. 

Khalil: The best part of LCHS athletics is competing with my team and representing The City.

 

3. What is your favorite class and who is your favorite teacher?

Morgan: My favorite classes were English with Mrs. Lisa Evans and Coach Jennings. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Martinez because she always is very helpful and encouraging. 

Khalil: My favorite class is English and my favorite teacher is Mr. Lawson.

 

4. Who is the most influential person in your life? 

Morgan: The most influential person in my life is my Grandma because she steps in and always makes a way.

Khalil: The influential person in my life is my cousin because he already graduated high school and is not letting anything stop him from doing what he loves.

 

5. What is your favorite meal?

Morgan: My favorite meal is chicken alfredo.

Khalil: My favorite meal is rice, ground beef, and baked beans.

 

6. What is your favorite athletic event memory?

Morgan: My favorite athletic memory is last year at volleyball camp with all the seniors and the bonding and games we had together.

Khalil: My favorite athletic memory is when the football team played Lakewood and the whole team played like a football team is supposed to play.

 

7. What is your plan after graduating?

Morgan: My plan after graduating would be to continue my education and work towards my career in sports medicine. 

Khalil: i plan to either play football in college or join the military to become a MP or Transporter.

 

8. What is the best part of LCHS?

Morgan: The best part of LCHS is our ability to come together and the bonds we share with each other and support for one another. 

Khalil: The best part of LCHS is when everyone comes together as a school and competes in the pep rallies.

 

9. How do you want Panther fans to remember you?

Morgan: I would want panther fans to remember me for my positive attitude and always trying my best. 

Khalil: I want the Panther fans to remember me as the football player who left a mark on the team and to say “#44 Khalil Fulton is one of the best Defensive Ends to ever play at Lake City.”

 

10.  If you could have a conversation with 9th grade you, what would you say?

 

Morgan: If I could have a conversation with my 9th grade self I would tell her to work harder with everything and especially grades and start sports this year. 

Khalil: I would tell my 9th grade self that you are too childish and need to be focused on classwork and getting your education.
