Girls Varsity Soccer · Lady Panthers host 7th annual alumni game

Lake City, SC – The Lady Panther Soccer Team hosted its 7th annual alumni game Saturday evening. Led by sophomore Crystal Toledo’s 5 goals, the Lady Panthers defeated the alumni 12-1.

Joycelyn Epps ‘18 scored the alumni’s lone goal, beating the defense with her trademark quickness. She was assisted by Giselle Toledo ‘19 on a beautifully placed through ball.

The alumni were ecstatic to be back on the field competing in front of panther fans again. “After not playing for 4 years, it felt awesome to be back on the field. You don’t realize how much you miss it until you’re back on it,” Tayhia Whitten ‘16 explained.

Senior captain Andrea Solis said, “It was really exciting playing against the girls who were once part of the team. I got to see alumni I hadn’t seen in years, and it felt like a family reunion in a lot of ways.”

Junior Brooklyn Butler completed a hat trick of her own with 3 total goals on the night. Sophomore Fabiola Rivera notched 2 goals as well. Juniors Kara Whitten and Sarah Leiter also made it into the scoring bracket.

The Lady Panthers will return to action in their region opener at Loris this Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:30.
