Panthers News · Panthers Run-Rule Tigers

The Lake City baseball team left runners on base in the first two innings against Wilson as the Panthers and Tigers remained scoreless heading into the bottom of the third inning.  However, the Panthers exploded for nine runs in the inning on the way to an 11-0 win that was over in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Sophomore Trey Bright was spectacular on the hill for the winners as he only allowed one hit while striking out six for the complete game shutout.  EJ McClam had the big night for the Panthers with a 2-3 showing with 4 RBI that included a walkoff 2-run homerun deep onto the tennis courts.  Wesley Hanner also chipped in two hits as the Panthers collected nine total hits.

Lake City (3-0) will travel to Lamar tonight for a 6:30 game.
