26 Lake City High School student-athletes and four coaches participated in the Main Street Elementary K.I.N.G.S. Lake City High School Athletic Director Matt Apicella has been named Region Athletic Director of the Year at the annual South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association conference in Charleston. Lake City Sonic will be recognizing two outstanding student-athletes each week during the 2017-18 school year This week’s recipients are Xavier Baker and Dayquan Washington.  Baker, a freshman, had 4 hits and 5 RBI in the JV baseball win over East Clarendon.  Wasington, also a 9th grader, has done it all for the boys track

The Lake City B-Team baseball team moved to 3-1 on the season with a 7-3, 8-4 sweep at Hannah-Pamplico. In the opener, 7th grader Mykel Croker pitched 5 1/3 strong innings before allowing classmate Jase McKnight to close the deal.  Croker also supplied multiple hits to pace the offense along with Daniel Thomy’s 2 RBI
