In The Coach’s Corner

1st Quarter All-Academic Team

The Lake City High School Athletic Department celebrated the 40 student-athletes named to the 1st Quarter All-Academic Team with a special luncheon at The Railway Restaurant compliments of the LCHS Athletics Booster Club.  Students were required to maintain Honor Roll status while participating in a varsity or JV sport to be eligible for the honor. 

Five Panthers Named To Fall Sports All-Region Teams

Region VI-AAA named the All-Region teams for fall sports and five Panthers were included in the honors.  Chris Burnett, Natorious Darby, and Darien Fulton were selected from the football program while Taylor Atkinson was chosen from volleyball and Damien Lee for cross country. Darlington, SC – In just the second year with a program, both the boys and the girls cross country teams continued their upward trend at the AAA lower state qualifier. Lake City Sonic Student-Athletes of the Week

Lake City Sonic will be recognizing two outstanding student-athletes each week during the 2017-18 school year. This week’s recipients are sophomore cross country team members Gerardo Corea and Ashley Cabrera-Quintero. Both runners started their week off with personal bests at the Region VI-AAA championship meet as Corea posted a 20:16 and Cabrera-Quintero a 29:26. Both
