Panthers Baseball Shuts Down Marlboro

Lake City used a 5-run first inning highlighted by a Hilshon Bailey 3-run homerun to post a Region VI-AAA 8-0 opening win over Marlboro County.  Trey Bright pitched 6.1 innings with 7 Ks for the win while also going 3-3 at the plate.  Lake City will travel to Marlboro Friday night for a 6:30 rematch.


Lake City Sonic will be recognizing outstanding student-athletes each week during the 2020-21 school year. Lady Panthers outlast Lakewood 3-2

Lake City, SC – The Lake City Lady Panther Soccer team picked up their first win of the year in a 3-2 win over Lakewood Friday night at Ward Memorial Stadium. McFadden Claims Silver at State Wrestling Tournament

Freshman Andre McFadden finished second in the state at 285 in Class 3A. McFadden was defeated by Aynor’s Thomas Johnson after defeating Jalen Rembert (Powdersville) in the first round and Cameron Gordon (Emerald) in the semifinals.  Congratulations on a great season a very bright future. #LCstrong Video

Two Panthers Sign Letters of Intent

A pair of Lake City High School Panthers signed National Letters of Intent Wednesday to continue their football careers at the college level. E.J. McClam signed to play at Newberry College.
