Panthers Split Saturday

With beautiful sunny sixty degree weather, the varsity baseball team hosted Carvers Bay and Lamar for championship day of the Pepsi Classic Preseason Baseball Tournament.  For the Panthers, it was a tale of two games as they dropped Carvers Bay 12-2 in six innings before falling 2-7 versus Lamar. Cheerleaders Assist In Reading Program

The varsity cheerleaders assisted in the “Read Across America” initiative and celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday at Olanta Elementary School.  The cheerleaders dressed as various Dr. Seuss characters and read to classrooms to inspire the children to achieve their reading goals.  Great job ladies.

Baseball Wins Season Opener

Sophomore Nate Bright relieved Rick Turner in the bottom of the 7th with bases loaded, one out, and a 10-7 lead.  Bright closed the door to preserve a 10-8 season-opening road win over Manning.  Turner picked up the win in relief of starter Chris McGee.  Bright helped the cause with a RBI while JT Follin

Lake City Baseball Alumni Game Slated For Saturday

The annual Lake City High School Baseball Alumni Game is slated for Saturday February 21 at Noon.  Batting practice begins at 10:30 AM at Lake City High School. For a $25 donation, Alumni will receive a t-shirt and as much baseball as they can handle. Come out and relive those glory days.
